Ch is an alternative to other scripting languages and mathematical software packages for automating tasks, regression test, 2D/3D graphical plotting and scientific numerical computing. Ch can be used for real-time interactive computing, embedded scripting for open architecture software development, mechatronic system integration, and Web development.

Ch is an embeddable cross platform C/C++ interpreter. Ch 3.0 supports all features in C standard, C++ class, POSIX, GTK+, Windows, OpenGL, X/Motif and socket/WinSock with over 8,000 functions. It is an ideal solution for rapid prototyping.

Ch 3.0 is optimized for embedded scripting and supports more C99 features in comparison with Ch 2.1. Ch 3.0 Professional Edition supports the C LAPACK for solving systems of simultaneous linear equations, eigenvalue problems, and singular value problems. With Ch, developers can accelerate the numerical computation in the domain of C/C++. It can avoid lengthy compile/link/execute/debug cycles for rapid application development.

Ch has many high-level extensions to C, including shell programming for system administration, generic functions, string type, computational arrays for linear algebra and matrix computations, user-friendly 2D/3D graphic plotting, classes for Common Gateway Interface (CGI), and advanced high-level numerical functions for linear systems, differential equation solving, integration, non-linear equations, Fourier analysis, etc. For example, linear equation b = A*x can be written verbatim in Ch.

Ch is also a very effective interactive environment for teaching and learning programming in C/C++ with new features in the latest C99 standard.

Ch for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP, Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX is available. Ch Standard Edition is free for academic and non-profit organizations.
